1. What type of source document are both of these stories? Which is older? How do you know? They are both primary sources,The Epic of Gilgamesh,because it says it is 2700-2500 B.C.E
2. Summarize the book of Genesis version of the flood. (5-6 sentences) The book of Genesis is basically all about the great flood.He told Noah to build an Arch for him and all animals on earth.He did so,and after the flood all of the animals were released off the Arch.
3. Summarize the Epic of Gilgamesh version of the flood. (5-6 sentences) The gods in Shurrupak wanted to exterminate all humans of planet earth.Ea warned someone in a dream to tear down their house and build a boat to look for life.
4. In what ways are both of these stories the same? They both pretty much built a boat to save humans and animals
5. In what ways are both of these stories different? They are different because they are set in different time periods,and in the Genesis there is only one god,but in the Epic there are 5 gods.
6. Why do you think that both of these stories are so similar? Well,because i think the Great Flood happened way back when
7. In your opinion are these stories true? Why or why not? Well,I think they are true because they both state the fact that there was a Great Flood,but I don't think the rest is true.
